Section A

Directions: In this section, you will hear 8 short conversations and 2 long conversations. At the end of each conversation, one or more questions will be asked about what was said. Both the conversation and the question will be spoken only once. After each question there will be a pause. During the pause, you must read the four choices marked A, B, C and D and decide which is the best answer. Then mark the corresponding letter on the Answer sheet with a single line through the center.

    For the past a few weeks, I have been annoyed by the noise coming from Mr. Zhao's house. Maybe, Mr. Zhao is installing his house, and the workers work day and night without rest. Of couse, the noise seems everlasting from morning to night which seriously inflences my work and sleep.

    I think Mr. Zhao should take other people's interest into consideration and choose the right time to let his workers work. And I hope you, as the apartment management officer, can give him some advice. Thanks a lot.
