1、Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on the use of translation apps. You can start your essay with the sentence "The use of translation apps is becoming increasingly popular." You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.

Section A

Directions: In this section, you will hear three news reports. At the end of each news report, you will hear two or three questions. Both the news report and the questions will be spoken only once. After you hear a question, you must choose the best answer from the four choices marked A ……此处隐藏88170个字…… 。

    5．第3句重复出现上一句的“吃火锅时”，为避免重复，此处采用省译法略去不译。但要注意，此句若按原文语序翻译，先译put some meat，vegetable... into the pot according to their own taste，再用并列句and cook by themselves译“自己烹饪”，不仅会造成英文译句头重脚轻，还会让句尾的并列句cook by themselves显得赘余。故此句可调整语序，先提取原句主干“人们可以根据自己的口味自己烹饪”，译为people cook by themselves according to their particular taste，再处理烹饪的具体步骤“放肉……及其他配料”。

    6．第4句重复了前一句的“人们可以……”，若再次译为People can...句式，译文将显得呆板无趣，衔接不畅。因此可进行适当增译，用时间状语during this time或it will be a perfect momem for sb. to do sth. 的句式，引出人们吃火锅时可互相畅谈、享受美食的状态。“享受美餐”中的“享受”除了可以用enjoy，还可以使用词组feast on，表示“大快朵颐”。
